5. Dove launches #DetoxYourFeed campaign

The Dove Self-Esteem Project announced the launch of the #DetoxYourFeed campaign, an initiative created in response to a survey that stated that “1 in 2 girls say toxic beauty advice on social media causes low self-esteem.” The new project encourages young women to choose their own beauty standards and unfollow accounts that lower their self-esteem. By raising awareness about toxic beauty advice through films, educational content, and partnerships with inspiring voices, the campaign aims to encourage important conversations between parents, caregivers, and teens.
